Tobago Rainforest Tour

This scenic tour takes you hiking through the un-spoilt National Park whose only inhabitants are tropical birds, butterflies, various other species of animals, and a wide cross section of virgin tropical flora and fauna that is untouched by human hands.

Tobago boasts of the oldest Forest Reserve in the Western Hemisphere (1765). Within it, is a Lower Tropical Montane Rainforest with rainfall exceeding 2000mm/year. This rainforest has cascades e.g. Gold-Silver River; it exhibits stream sources.

The microclimate is cool; the biodiversity includes colorful plants e.g. Heliconias, Bromeliads, Philodendrons & Norantea, spectacular birds e.g. White-tailed Sabrewing Humming Bird & Blue-backed Manakin (both endemic) and other wild creatures. The tour ends with bird feeding at Grafton Bird Sanctuary back home to hotel.

Bring along: bottled water, camera, suntan lotion (boots supplied by guide). Long pants, long sleeve shirt and hat recommended on this tour.
