Yacht Services Association of Trinidad & Tobago (YSATT)

YSATT is a non profit making organisation set up in Trinidad and Tobago to liaise between the Marinas, repair contractors and visiting boaters. One of their primary concerns is to keep their customers happy and ensure visitors leave Trinidad and Tobago with not "just what they bargained for " but "more then they bargained for".

Yacht Services Association of Trinidad & Tobago (YSATT) marine trades association for the yacht services industry in Trinidad and Tobago and represents a range of marine professionals in the country. It is one stop shop for industry and has the storage capacity for over 1,000 yachts on land. YSATT is known throughout the Caribbean for its creativity and its skilled personnel in this sector are second to none. Trinidad has evolved into the premier storage and repair centre for yachts.

Don Stollmeyer the president of YSATT is ably assisted by Anne Farfan and Sally Sintra who do most of the day to day running of the Association including hosting training seminars for the boatyard staff, answering inquiries from boaters and assisting with everything from jammed photocopiers to blocked heads -- ( or blockheads as the case may be!).

Conserving the marine environment is one of YSSATT’s priorities and each year the association hosts a clean up day which is attended by both locals and visitors. The event is an attempt at not only keeping T&T "Clean and Green" it also gives boaters the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to conservation.

The YSATT office has re-located to the westernmost office of the Shipwright Building at Crews Inn. YSATT will continue to provide contractor referrals, a compliments and complaints forum and visitor information. Also controls the mooring buoys.

So when you are in T&T feel free to contact YSATT for information on boatyards, contractors, tourism tours or if you simply need a point of reference from which to start. Therefore, when dealing with a YSATT member you are provided with reasonable assurance that the goal of the contractor or business is to ultimately achieve a professional standard. So, whenever possible we advise you to choose a YSATT member. Should there be a problem involving a member of YSATT, the visitor is assured of a hearing and a process of problem resolution.
